Meet our Team
-
Alexandra Johnson (AJ)
Owner
It all started with my dog Jack, and now we have an entire pack. We can provide products, advice, and other resources to set you up for success in dog sports! We are also on Team USA for 4-Dog Rig, and a board member of K9 Powered Sports. We have experience with canicross, scootering, rig, kicksledding, dogsledding, and skijoring.
-
Sucheth
Bike Guy
Sucheth helps with technology and offers overall bike knowledge in the store. He enjoys spoiling his dog Sirius, with Greenies and Kongs, and Zorro with a game of tug. During the week, Such, is often weightlifting, playing soccer, or mountain biking.
-
Melisa
Brave the Snow Owner
Melisa specializes in everything kicksled! She wants to share this sport with as many new people as possible, and give everyone the chance to enjoy the snowy weather. She’s often in and out of the store during the winter months dropping off sleds for customers.
-
David
Builder
David helps around the store. He is occasionally at the register, but always behind the scenes working on projects! He owns Riley, and is an amazing dog dad. Enjoys skijoring as well.
-
Jack
Greeter
This boy started it all. He’s been around the block and nothing phases him. Jack is always available to say hi with a smile and to personally test treats. He has been involved in dog sports for several years and can also help demonstrate any harnesses/gear for a dog with deep chests.
-
Riley
Supplement Specialist
Riley is David’s tall dark and handsome dog, who has needed more than one supplement over the years, and can offer his opinion on which is the most delicious and effective. He’s dopey and we love him.
-
Nadja
Loose Leash Model
Nadja has been adopted by our friends, and she is a tiny spitfire of a husky. She is still our ambassador for loose leash walking and loves to show off her skills with a slip lead. She loves cuddling, and has a lot of enthusiasm for mushing. She currently goes for runs and will skijor with her new owners.
-
Grumbles
CEO of Handsome
Grumbles is an Alaskan Husky and comes from a long line of proven champions. He is sure to be an amazing dog, and is one of our lead dogs. He also screams to go running, so clearly genetics have done their job.
-
Ari
Treat Advisor
The oldest member of our pack, Ari is a retired Alaskan. She is very laid back unless she’s hiking, or chasing a squirrel.
You’ll often find her hanging in the store.
-
Payne
Food Specialist
Payne is Grumble’s dad, and joined us from the northern MN kennel, Underdog Sled Dogs. He loves running with the pack and he’s also super strong! His favorite thing to do when he meets new people is boop them on the face and then receive butt scratches.
-
Remus
Cato Board Master
Remus is an Alaskan Husky from Chisolm, MN. He’s full of energy and starts vibrating with energy when it’s time for a run. He’s inquisitive and intelligent, and enjoys holding toys in his mouth and running around the yard chasing the other dogs.
-
Sirius
Toy Tester
Sirius is a mutt turned sled dog, and has some wonderful working dog breeds: GSP and Belgian Shepherd. He has a lot of herding instincts, and in his spare time plays games of keep-away from the Alaskans. He is stealth.
-
Friday
Kiss Giver
Friday is a young Alaskan Husky. She’s very sweet and beginning to learn the world is full of treats, scritchies, and running! Everything is new to her, and she has done well with 4 dog rig and biking. Hope she enjoys dogsledding as well this winter!
-
Ollie
Sweetie Pie
Olive, or “Ollie” for short, is joining us this race season as a temporary dog before going to her retirement home. She’s as sweet as can be and very introverted. I’ve heard she runs well in Swing, right behind the lead dogs and we’re excited to have her chill demeanor this winter!
-
Spooky
Big Dog Energy
Spooky is joining us for this race season as a temporary dog. He’s a big dude, and very goofy. Enjoys playing fetch and spinning in circles. He comes from Lost Mile Mushing and we’re excited to have his energy and power on the team.
-
New Dog?!
Ya never know!
